Day 22: Something I've Learned...

Geez, Where do I start....
In my 25 years, I've learned so much.

I've learned....
...You can't choose your family, and family is the greatest gift you can ever receive.
...Every person has good in them!
...God has a plan & I am not in control of my life.
... Be nice to people. You never know whose life you can change with one smile.
... How to be "nice nasty". Thanks Mama!
... to choose my battles. Although, it's tough at times.
... yelling gets you NO where.
... being a sore loser is annoying.
... The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
... Every Child should be loved.
... How to love and be loved.
... Broken Hearts suck really bad.
... You can't tell your friend[s] He's not good for you, they'll have to learn for themselves.
... Death is a part of life, and it's never easy.
... How to follow a recipe.  [Sounds crazy, but it used to be tough for me]
... You can't change people. People can't truly change who they are. Only for a small amount of time, eventually, the real comes out.
... things will not always go my way & that's okay.
... putting someone down will haunt you in your future.
... never bully. You don't know whose life you can hurt.
... Yes, there are people who don't have families at Christmas Time, so take someone in.
... Having money does not make you happy.
... You have to love yourself for who you are. Then you can be loved and truly love.
... Mama CAN be your Mom & your best friend.
... With that, Mama IS always right.
... with that, I've turned out to be just like her, & it isn't so bad after all.
... abandoning a child can ruin one forever.
... how to move on.
... LOVE is all that matters.
... Friends come and Go. Even the ones you always thought would always be there.
... How to be a friend, even if I'm not befriended back. I'd rather make a difference.
... Going out of your way for someone is the best kind of peace.
... it's okay if the laundry hasn't been washed in three days.
... Coupons really do save money in the right stores.
... Small things in life are the big things.
... Unanswered prayers are always answered.
... How to use the words: I'm sorry...
... The truth will always be told. Someday! Someway! Somehow!
... a card in the mail can make someones day.
... a simple Thank You, means a whole lot.
... A Kiss when he walks in the door, can change his mood.
... Never say never!
... You can have a friend, without even knowing who they are.
... saying "Hi" can change a life & give someone hope.
... a little goes a long way.

Day 18 - Regrets

Hmmm... this is tough!
I'm having a hard time with this one! I used to hold a lot of regret about certain things, but with time I've learned it had its meaning and it was supposed to happen in order for me to wake up and smell the coffee! They were all lessons learned!
However,I've managed to come up with some petty stuff!

I regret ...
...eating like a MOO cow last month and the beginning of this month because I've put on extra pounds, therefore I had to pull my fat jeans outta my closet! Now I'm back to my Food Diary to get it back off. Who likes a food diary? Not me! But it works.
...not listening to the beau when he said "don't carry the pumpkin by the stem. The lady told me if it comes off, the pumpkin will die." He's right! My Massive pumpkin is on it's way out. I wanted him to stick around for Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll carve him tonight.
... Not buying the Jessica Simpson cowboy boots the other day. Sale Price $75 Original Price $215. YIKES! Although, I couldn't bring myself to spend the $75 on them when I paid $20 for the ones I have now, and they have been awesome.
Her boots were REALLY pretty though.
... not eating breakfast, because I have a massive headache now.
... loosing my charm bracelet that Aaron gave me when we were 16 & 17 years old. He has NEVER let me live it down since then and truthfully, I would have loved to have it and see all the added charms through these 9.5 years together. It only had a cheerleader on it and a heart that had our names engraved! :( Frown!

So, Five things! That's all I've got!
As the day goes on, I'll write some more...

... DEFINITELY regret the way I handled my $$$ in college! Yikes! What was I thinking???
... taking out a LOAN to fix my car that I do NOT have now. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!
We are having friends over tonight to CARVE some pumpkins!
How exciting???
I've never really done the PATTERNS before. The last time I carved a pumpkin was a few years ago, and it was the traditional triangle eyes, nose and mouth...BORING!
I'm really looking forward to it tonight!
Are you carving or have you carved? If so, what was your pattern?
I kinda wanna get creative! I LOVE the Crazy Teeth Pumpkin below! He's awesome!

Happy Thursday Everyone!!! :D

Day 17 - Something I look forward to

Last Night, we got in our Halloween mode!
Every year we go to my parents house and trick 0r treat with my nieces and nephews. It's a big family thing. It's great watching the little ones all dressed up. So, last night, after cooking dinner, I made cupcakes for tomorrow night [Pumpkin Carving] and we filled our Candy bags for Satruday night as we watched  horror movies all night!
It was great!

Alright, so... Somehing I look forward too...
Hmmm, there is SO much!
Seriously, where do I start???
Handing out Candy this Saturday
Pumpkin Carving tommorrow night
Thanksgiving
ALL the Christmas Parties @ Celebrations I already have planned
 New Years
[A Proposal??? [Come on already babe]]
My Ladies Night out in November
I've been asked to Coorindate a Wedding [How Exciting?]
 Reid's 1ST birthday
My Wedding Day♥
Sitting on my front porch at age 70, holding hands with my first love
Getting our Doggie at the begining of the year [GO VOTE ON A NAME]
Starting OUR Family [in a few years]
... There is so much more!

But, there are two things that really stand out, that I am REEEALLLLY looking forward too!
Vacations NEXT year!
This year we weren't able to do too much! Lack of Mula$$ and time off from work!
Next Summer & Fall we plan on taking a big and mini vacation!
I'll start with the BIG vacation...
We are trying to get a group of our friends together on a cruise and head somewhere we haven't been in a few years. Somewhere like...

Mexico!!!
We plan on going on a 5 day cruise! We are really looking forward to it!

The second trip,
will probably only be a weekend trip, which is completely fine! But this time, it's gonna be just Aaron and myself! Yay! Usually, we group up, so this should be nice to get away by ourselves! We are going to

 Epcot, Disney World!
Now, I'd LOVE to do so much more, but Aaron doesn't wanna do the whole Disney thing, until we have a family! He doesn't understand that place is for children and adults! I'm a hugh Disney fan! Always have been!
Aaron and I want to explore the world as much as possible. Right now, we can't afford to come and go to different countries, so... we found that in Epcot you can! We want to visit all the different places & countries and see different cultures! I think tasting the variety of foods will be pretty neat also!

So, we're  SUPA excited about this trip! I think we will have a blast!

So, what are YOU looking forward to?
I must admit, I'm kinda sad it's the 17th day...
We are half way through. I've had a really good time doing this!
A while back I started a 30 Day Blog Journal, and it wasn't bad, but I believe I didn't even finished the first week. Thanks to Katie! You've done a wonderful job hosting this Blog Challenge! I've met a lot of great blogger friends!

Day 3 [FIRST LOVE] & Day 2 [Blog Title]

Day Three
My First Love

He was short, blonde hair, big lips, and the most gorgeous eyes that caught my attention at first glance. He was 16 years old, driving a white Ford F150. He was girl-shy, friendly, and his AOL screen name was TOPSHOT58.
I can remember exactly what he was wearing the first time I met him and I can remember thinking he had the strangest voice the first time he called me. Our first date was to the High School basketball game. He was scared to death to pick me up and meet my daddy. I was his first REAL girlfriend! He told me he loved me after two weeks. Who knows love at 16 & after two weeks, right? I told him he didn't. He said "okay". We "were going out" my Freshman year [his Sophomore Year] and he broke up with me because it was summer time. The following school year we started again. He repeated his actions when summer time came. My Junior year, his Senior year... he wanted me back ... AGAIN, nope. No way! It didn't take long. We fell completely in love that year.
CraZy about each other...
[VERY first picture together, taken in January 2001]

That's right! You got it! My one & only LOVE!
My High School Sweetheart!
When we have children, we can look back and point to each other and say...
There's my First Love!

Day TWO-
Meaning behind your blog name!

Well, when I started blogging back in Feburary, I believe it was The Simple Life, because our life is very simple. As I found other bloggers, their names were SO much cooler. I realized I needed to get more creative. I then changed it a million + different times. From this to that. Nothing stuck! I kept running into Combat Boots & Flip Flops or Stilettos & a Stroller or Stilettos & a Diaper Bag. The baby thing didn't really fit me... Well, duh because I'm kid-less.
Combat Boots & Flip Flops was COOL, but for not Aaron & Myself. Me, being I wear heels everyday, I thought Stilettos & Fishing Boots or Stilettos & Hunting Boots... Hmmmm, something still didn't click! Aaron is a BIG fisherman. In fact if you look the word fisherman up in the dictionary you will see this.
Fisherman (N)- Aaron Roy Drew
I swear he owns 50 + fishing poles. Waaalaaa!

Stilettos & a fishing pole!

Couldn't be any better!
Also, that same month we started remodeling his great grandfathers late house and started making it a home for us! So, that's when I found Becca, from Jumpin Jax Designs I made it clear I wanted a house with our picture in the header. I didn't care about the colors and such.

My tagline:
An Inside girl living in her outside world!
Okay, so this is true. Prior to meeting Aaron & falling in love & realizing Love was all that matters... I wanted to live in a city. [♥] I love the city. I wanted to live in a neighborhood where our children could run & play with the kids down the street. Thats how I was raised as a kid, before moving to the small town where we live now.
On the other hand, Aaron grew up in the same house his entire life! His family has a plantation? It used to be a campground waaaay back when his mama was a teenage.
Lots of land. Two beautiful ponds. A Pool. A Creek. Trails.  Lots of woods. . Lots of.... outdoors! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it. I love to ride four wheelers, get muddy [when expected], ride dirt roads. I do. I just never visioned my life sooo... woodsie! && it still may not. Who knows where we will be in 10 years from now, building a home for us to grow old in. But for now... I'm dating a guy who is 100% outdoorsie. He's a Fisherman. He's a Hunter. He's a Bow-Hunter. He's... everything outdoors! I am SO not!  I wouldn't change a single thing!

30 Day Blog Challenge Day ONE

So I'm trying this again, hoping not to fail like I did last time! Aly from Analyze This inspired me! I remember the first time I became "blog friends" with Aly. She was one of my very first followers, & was doing some giveaway or blog hop [can't remember exactly] with Julie from Brown Eyed Belle. I fell in love with her blog title & the reason she named it that. Click HERE to find out!
