First Wedding Anniversary: A Piece of Cake

Let's start off by stating that our first year as husband and wife was more than amazing.
It really was. 'First year is always the hardest' says everyone. Not saying it can't be but for us, it really was better than I ever could have imagined.

We spent our first year spending a lot of QT with each other.
Aaron and I never watched more movies & TV shows in a whole 11 years together than we did this one year. It was great. We took a few vacations, spent weekends with family & friends and weekdays at home cooking dinner, doing laundry & cuddled up on the couch.
Life is usually in the fast lane for us, but this year was about me & him.

Take a moment to enjoy our photo session with tradition.

 Eating the Cake

I can honestly say our cake was just as tasty as it was one year ago.
The wine we toasted with was a bottle brought down from Long Island, NY
to have waiting for us in our room when we arrived on the night of our wedding day.

We played scrabble in the since of describing our first year.

'When thinking of Jessica & your first year married to her... what comes to mind?"

as sweet & hopeless romantic my husband is not...
he puts "Earth".

If you've ever seen the movie Couples Retreat you will understand.
Thanks honey.

&& as the same questions is asked to me...

&& then Aaron gets excited and starts changing his ALL up.

Papa T is who my husband calls himself when trying to be big & bad around the house.

We wrote messages to each other && never saw them until we
received these pictures (in which were waiting for us when we go trip.)

&& ending our photo session on some dandelion love♥

I love him more everyday.

(Actual trip recap WILL be coming soon)

growing old only sucks for bananas

{taken after his birthday dinner at Outback}

Happy Birthday Love!

This post is one day late. Oops! But since I never finished my "shout out" to my amazing husband on our anniversary, I figured I'd at least let him know on his birthday how much he is he means to me. This day,  {10.10} is always a day I look forward to.  It's almost as if it's my birthday - I always feel so blessed which is why I make it a big deal to celebrate. {any birthday}

28 years of life, 14 years of life with me. Every year gets better.
Clique? Yes. But it's so true.  So here it goes. Pure Cheese.

Aaron,  you are my favorite person, place & thing.
You are the  best part of my morning {even though I totally am out of it, no joke}
the best part of my work day {your random calls & sing-a-longs are never old which is why I never delete you VMs} and most of all the best part of my night. You will never know how truly special you are to me, even if I try to explain with my cheesy words.

God is amazing for keeping you around another year. I will forever be thankful && always grateful he gave me you. Okay... I know, I thought of Blake & Miranda too.
But really. Outside that song, I am not trying to get cheesier but you really are the best gift of my life. Why we are on cheesiest I'm going to end my post with
the words of Jerry McGuire, "You complete me".

You are the  best thing -
Xo, J
