The Bachelorette ReCAP

It's baaaack!
& I'm so excited!

It's just the beginning so if you've missed out on the past two episodes, you can still catch up!It's still early for me to judge each guy or pick which one's I like and don't care for.
However, off of last nights episode I do have opinions about certain guys already although it can still change.

If you watched it, I'm sure you have a slight clue...

Bentley -

Okay, let me first just say this guy is gorgeous. In my opinion, anyway. He's smooth. Smooth as in... a bit scary. One of those guys you fall for but ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO. Judging from the beginning and how Ashley said she had a phone call telling her to beware of this fella, I was concerned. Then I saw him around her and he didn't seem so bad, however I could see he was a bit cocky. I hate cocky men! My mind kept telling me it was the show that was feeding off of "The Phone Call" and they were making him look like they made Michelle look last season, which was physco! Later to find out the girls in the house really liked her. Then I watched and heard Bentley's words come out of his mouth last night which really made my tummy turn. "I was really hoping it was Emily." "She [Ashley] isn't really my type..." "After kissing her, It was just really boring... started of good, then just got worse..." WHO SAYS THAT? And the very best but worst....“I can tell you right now it’s not going to work. I, to be honest with you, could almost care less. Things could have turned out differently if the Bachelorette was Emily.”And THEN... it showed clips of next weeks show....

I'd like to know what YOU think is going to happen. How do YOU feel about the situation?  This guys scares me.

Jeff  & his mask
I don't have much to say about this. But, would you keep him on here if he didn't expose himself? Is the show telling her to keep him on here? It just seems weird to me. I would really be bothered by this. Even when he talks to her... he is extremely deep. He's like a horror movie to me.Take the mask off. And am I the only one who seems to think he's skin is like... Greenish, Yellow?
I don't know, maybe its just the mask.

William
... kind of resembles Prince William???
Thought he was great throughout his date.
I know Aaron would crap his pants if a woman took him to pick out rings & pretend to get married. I understand her "wanting to see if he is for real" reasoning's, however Aaron would have went home A-SAP!Back at the house... He seemed a bit childish??? Maybe, A little? I don't know yet. He's one I'll have to leave the door open on. I did LOVE their date. It was so amazing and beautiful.

JP
I wasn't really pumped about JP last week. He didn't really stand out, but after seeing him last night I'm starting to like him. You could tell he was really wanting to be with Ashley last night and he showed a little sensitivity.  He looked pretty good too. I look forward to seeing him more.

That's about all I have to say. I felt she let a few great guys go last night, BUT... I'm very much looking forward to the weeks ahead. Next weeks preview seems like it would be a heartbreaker. We will have to wait and see...

Wedding Wednesday

101 Days to go...
So, with three months and one week to go, I'll have you know... the many dates with my glue gun and scissors have begun. I'm staying busy busy busy with all kinds of projects.

My fiance' thinks I've entered a new world when I came up with the idea a few weeks back to cancel my order with my florist.... and hand make everything! Yes, I said it. On top of a million other projects [which are coming along just dandy] I've decided that I won't have ANY real flowers at my wedding. None! Zip, Zero!
[ This is NOT my bouquet or my inspiration. ]

I've been busy making this and that, however I'm loving it. I am soak this entire "planning" time up and will always know that my wedding day came from heart! It will be OUR perfect day. Let me add, that even though he thinks I'm insane, he loves the ideas. He is actually creating his ideas too, for the mens boutonnieres!

We met with our officiant Monday night! Longer than we expected, but it was so wonderful. He went over lots of different things with us and then discussed our relationship.  I won't go into details, but after 2.5 hours, we left feeling extremely happy.
He asked a ton of questions about us & our relationship... it was a bit odd, but it was really great. [Odd, defined as... hard to discuss] Aaron isn't the greatest at expressing his emotions out loud. The Counseling was good.

All my bridesmaids dresses have been ordered! Yay! I actually ran into a small issue with the Bridal Shop. I've had nothing but amazing things to say about them, however a few of my ladies who were last to get fitted, had a different opinion. The manner was taken care of.
The only thing scary about this whole DRESS thing is she told me they would SHIP the dresses on August 8th. Whaaaaa.... That's less than one month from the wedding.
YIKES! My prayers have begun.
Things have been SO smooth. I do not need the stress from ' NO BRIDESMAID DRESSES.

The company we ordered our linen from have been giving us issues.
Well, first I will say, our caterer was supposed to supply certain linen and now they've informed us they no longer do it. So... we were lucky enough to address this situtation asap and had no problem getting more. They actually arrived a few days ago.
HOWEVER, the company we purchased our "must have" table linen from has been giving us issues. We purchased the linen & chair ties back in Febuary. The ties came in, however they sent an email stating the table linens were on back order. They would be in, in April. Well, it's May. We got another email stating the same thing, it would be May 31st. PRAY they come in. This is WACK!!! They've received our money in full, now give us the linens.

I've mentioned that we had our entire wedding music list picked out and ready to rumble.
Well... Aaron decided that our first dance song was not good enough.
Whhhaaa? I'm still hoping he changes his mind, because I love the song. So, we are back again... searching for THE song. It's harder than finding THE dress!

June is coming fast & is a very busy month. It pretty much screams WEDDING.
We have four weddings to attend. Caitlin, over at A Journey from Miss to Mrs being one of them. JUNE = Weddings, showers & appointments galore!

So for now, that's it. That's where we are at! That's where it is...
September 3rd... bring.it.on!!!!

Playing Catch Up!

Life has been busy....
and getting busier as the days go by.
Every week / weekend I have a million places to be with a million things to get accomplished.
I am not complaining, because I do it to myself. I like being on-the-go.

Well, back in January, I know, right? My sweet niece Addyson had a pizza party to celebrate her 4th birthday! It was a simple party where it was all about her, with all the family and lots of friends.
Happy Birthday baby girl!

True [must read] story: This happened just a week ago Sunday. Mother's Day actually.
We were all piled up at Moms [All 13 of us] and for some reason Mama & the guys were searching the internet for whatever... Who knows, I didn't get that far. Addy, her bigger sister Ashlyn, and myself were still finishing up dinner in the kitchen. They start discussing their spring break family trip to the Jacksonville Zoo. Ashlyn asked me, "Do you know that a giraffe's tongue is as long as your arm?" I did not know that.
Of course I said it with my very excited, oh really voice. Addy butts in and says, "yeah, we were petting the giraffe's and one started licking my arm and peed at the same time. Mom and Dad made us move to the next animal." Of course I smiled & laughed. Her face was priceless. She was so serious.
So, to gather them up from the table, I asked Ashlyn to go ask Uncle Aaron if he knew about a giraffe's tongue. We headed into the office room. While Ashlyn is asking Aaron, Addy sees all of grandma's DVD's and starts telling me which ones they have and which ones they didn't. One particular movie had a gorilla on the front cover. I didn't even see what movie it was, before she said, "Ohhhhhhh. This monkey sticks his thumb in his butt [as she pretends to stick her thumb... um, yeah] and he pulls it out with poop on it [as she pulls her thumb....] and then he eats it [as she pretends to put her thumb in her mouth]." I was doing the exciting, oh really face, until the last part.... I immediately showed my confusion & floored look.
What kind of movie shows children this kinda thing?  I asked her again and got the same story.
So... to set Uncle Aaron up, I told Addy to tell Uncle Aaron. So she did. He eyes grew hugh, as my brother started dying laughing.
Apparently, when they went to the Zoo the gorilla did this to them. Brian [My brother] said the gorilla was at the window being all sweet and then he gave them a thumbs up sign. The family of 5 laughed and gave it back to him. That's when he took action. Brian said him & Kerri about died. They didn't know what to do or say.
They moved the kids to the next set of monkeys.
Bri said the monkeys were far away from the glass window until they walked up. The monkey came running to the window [the kids got so excited] and we he got about five feet from the window, he stopped took a pop in his hand, and then ate it. Brian & Kerri were speechless.

So hilarious!

On a day to day basis, Aaron and I are always finding projects to get our hands dirty around the house.
As of right now, I'm doing the whole DIY wedding projects and he his [are you ready for this?] molding a catfish. Where he saw this or got his idea, I don't have a clue. Catfish is his nickname. [To everyone else. I do not call him this.] He's a fisherman, duh. But Catfish is his true love.  He plans to make some kind of table??? I don't know, but this catfish will be apart of it.
My friend Rachel, and her 3 year old daughter, Lacey come over a lot during the week. Rachel's husband works nights, so we like to keep them busy. Lacey loves Aaron. Aaron adores her back.
One night, as Rachel was doing my hair [Yes, we trade off on each other] Lacey [& all her barbies] went outside on our front porch with Aaron as he worked on the catfish. It was priceless.

Nights/Days like these is when I can see our future as parents

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few weeks back, I met with one my oldest friends, Heather for dinner!
We went to high school together, lived together in college, and now have different lives, doing different things. Meeting for dinner every few weeks seems to be the way to keep up. Life can get crazy, I tell ya.
I always enjoy her presence. On this particular night, we met downtown Savannah at a restaurant called Jazz'd. It's a Tappas Bar. It's amazing!!! If you ever come to Savannah, you must try it out. Order the Spinach Dip. It's out of this world!
Heather is also one of my Bridesmaids!
She's awesome!
Heather is a Cocktail waitress at another night club. On this night, we were able to sit and catch up a few hours before she had to venture of to work. She's one to have a around when you want to have a good time!

Leaving the parking garage that night, I received a text message from another wonderful friend & bridesmaid of mine, Kristie. Her, her hubby Michael, brother, & sister in law were hanging out at a piano bar downtown, called Savannah Smiles. Great place. You must also visit this place too. I wasn't going to meet them, until I remembered Aaron was out of town, fishing and it was only 11:00pm. So, I said what the heck.

I didn't stay long, maybe 45 minutes, but it was nice to see them.
It was a great night.

----------------------------------------------------------------

My ol' my. This is not going to be as funny to you. However, it was pretty hysterical in our house on this particular week night.
I actually forget what exactly happened to his hand, but I know it was a bunch of different things.
Aaron had a hard day at work. He came home and his hand was just a mess. Cut and gashes all over the place. Okay, so I say cuts and gashes... they were bad, but not as bad as it looks.

Of course it wasn't funny that his hand was torn apart. We were out of band aids.
My mom has done that many of times. Taken a gauze pad and medical tape. Have you done this?
Okay, well... I am not a nurse, but I played the part well.  After nurse Jessica was through wrapping, we both looked at each other and DIED laughing. It's a pretty dark picture, but if you can see his face... it's his "this is ridiculous" face.
As I said, this is not funny to you. But it was a night that won't be forgotten. It was so good, it was worth a camera shot.

Oh wait, we had band aids. Just the really small circular ones.
Needless to say, we have 2 boxes of band aids waiting....

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Three Stooges...

[Candice, Kristie, and then me...]
[also bridesmaids of mine]

Okay, not really. But you'll see/hear me show/talk about us three often.
We [& our men] are together a lot. We too, all grew up in the same town, went to high school together and still live here... in the same small town. Their hubby's & my hubby-to-be went out the Friday night before Easter to have a little dinner at Cheddar's. Ummm, yummy! Love that place. It was a random, fun night. Good times with wonderful friends.

 Life is so good.
Thank you Lord, for giving me an amazing life.

Wedding Wednesday: Hair Trial

May 12, 2011
2:00pm
First Hair Trial

Last Thursday, I has my first hair trial done for the wedding.
This was very easy for me at first to decide what I wanted. I found a picture of Eva Longoria's hair, that I loved.
When talking to my stylist, whose been doing my hair for many many years, she stated
"When you find what you want, and we do it. Make sure you don't change it on me come the day of the wedding. You need to make sure that is what you want."
Well... That began my many nights of loss sleep. Deciding on things for this wedding has been very easy for me. I have had no problem whatsoever. UNTIL, I heard those words.
I knew she was serious, because she knows how I am about my hair. I then started to pick apart pictures, freak out in my head, and confuse the tar outta myself whether or not I wanted it UP or DOWN, UP or DOWN, UP or DOWN!!!
My Bridesmaid, Rachel tagged along and took lots of pictures! I loved having her there.
I was a nervous wreck the entire way there. It was crazy. Pray I am not like this the day of. I sat in the chair and Keturah asked, Okay, so what are we doing? I showed her lots of different pictures... that were somewhat the same but different. I told her I didn't really care how it was up, I just had certain "must haves".
Lots of Volume
It can not look perfectly in its place
No side bun.
Please do not slick my hair back

I'm pretty sure she was scared to death. Usually I know what I want and exactly how I want it. That being said, she was a little relieved that I didn't know EXACTLYwhat I wanted.
So she began.
As much as I'd love to show and share the final look...
I can not. However, I will say that it was perfect. After putting in my hair accessory & putting my veil on...
I was at awe and can say reality really hit me.  Hit me so much that tears were filling my eyelids & my heart was pumping 90 to nothing. It was great.

True Story: That morning before Aaron left for work, he asked if I was excited about getting my trial. Of course my answer was, Very! He then asked if he got to see it. Of course, my response was No way. "So, you go and get your hair done in order to come home and take it out?"
Yes sir!!!
"That's Stupid"
It excited me, that he wanted to see my hair.
Stupid I know, but I thought it was great!

Brantley Gilbert Concert - Recep

A week an a half ago, I posted about treating my man to a night out in Savannah. His favorite country singer was coming to town & I wanted to take advantage. Well, we had a really great time & an interesting ending!

[can you tell he is putting his "I love you J" fake smile on his face]
May 6, 2011

I took a half day that afternoon, in order to go home and take time preparing for a nice evening for Aaron and myself. As I've said before, I'm the one who gets all the wining and dining & he doesn't really get that. So, it was his day. After getting home and straightening up the house a little bit, Aaron was hours away from being home. I showered and took my time getting ready. By the time Aaron got home, his clothes were laid out, he had a hot towel just out of the dryer waiting there for him with his hot shower running, with a little note that said "I'm so excited about tonight. It's all about you!"
As I explained in my prior post, it was just him & I that night, however we were meeting friends for dinner. It wasn't long after him getting ready, were we ready to walk out the door. Our friends had a bigger group, therefore they were a bit behind us. Aaron and I decided we would go ahead and go and maybe have a drink together while we wait. We had intentions of meeting everyone at Wild Wings Cafe', however it was a two hour wait. Not happening. We then decided to eat at Carlito's Mexican Grill. [One of our favorites & the restaurant I had intentions of taking Aaron prior to making dinner arrangements with everyone else] Back to the story.
Dinner was great!

Shanna & Jon

Candice & Daniel

Me & My Love♥

Joe & I
[My second boyfriend & one of Aaron's best friends. Joe joins us for dinner a LOT so, it's a little joke]

Time was getting close & we still had a lot to suck down.
Can you believe these were medium margaritas? Looks like I wasn't
put any damage on mine, but I was sipping it ALL through dinner. This
bad boy was B.A.D!

[Whose sucking it down???]

Joe had a few of his friends meet us for dinner.
Merissa & Sarah...

[Aaron had control over the camera at this point...]
Merissa

Sarah

... a little close babe, but you did good.

... yeah, I think the men were over the top with the posing.

... cracks me up.

I didn't get a picture of this beautiful couple at dinner, because they were across from
one another. But this is Brannen & Brandy. They are pretty much awesome!

... what's going on?
What is my future husband doing? Sniffing Joe's ear?

The Ladies♥

... hmmmmm?

We were walking to the Civic Center.
This is when Aaron and I had to split from the crowd.
I was sad because we were having a great time, however
it was really nice, just the two of us.

Having a blast listening to the voice of Brantley Gilbert
She's My Kind of Crazy

Ends up, Sarah & Merissa were on the same row as us.
[Excuse my Man for looking a little... sweaty. After the Bigger Loser competition & not drinking for the past 3 months, alcohol was getting to him/us faster than usual.]

We laughed so much that night. Really having a wonderful time.
We danced the night away....

TRUE [funny] STORY:
Aaron and I were originally sitting on the outside of the aisle. We switched so the girls could talk to the group of guys behind us who so eagerly wanted us to introduce them. This didn't work out for a few reasons. A) We just met the ladies that night. We didn't really know them. B) We weren't there to play match up.  But, we were all for them doing there thing The ladies were great & we enjoyed them. And the guys were great too. But... Yeah!
Well, during the switch between Brantley's opening act to Brantley, everyone was sitting down. Aaron and I were talking about who knows what, and suddenly he takes a peak behind us and starts busting out laughing.  His face turns bright red... as he's dying laughing. Well, as we were in conversation with each other, Aaron went to put his arm around me & I guess run his fingers through my hair.... [I'm laughing while typing]
 Well.....
As the guy behind us bent down to do whatever, Aaron got his heads mixed up. The guy had thick, shaggy, red hair so I'm assuming he had hair texture a lot like mine. Aaron was running his fingers through this guys hair...and when he popped up and said WTF, Aaron realized he had that wrong head of hair.
It was pretty hilarious.
But it doesn't stop there... In the middle of the concert, the shaggy red head & his girlfriend randomly asked us to pose for a picture. I'm really not sure why, but due to the margaritas & bud lights, we happily smiled and posed. Aaron's friend, Sean who used to work with him, called later in the week and asked "So, how does it feel to be attracted to shaggy red heads?" Aaron was a bit confused, however it didn't take him long when Sean said... You don't remember running your fingers through a red headed guy at the Concert? Yeah, well that's Monica's brother. Aaron and I BOTH forgot about this. [Thanks Margaritas] until Sean informed us on this day. -
Flipping Hilarious!
So, the girlfriend of the red head was telling Monica all about the great time they had and showing her her camera.... telling her about [Aaron] the guy who randomly felt through her boyfriends hair... when our picture popped up and Monica about fell out.
How embarrassing! We will be reuniting with this couple in about a month at Sean & Monica's Wedding.
Boy ol' Boy!

Looks as if Brantley was far away, however we were fairly close.
I have alot of these, but they are by far horrible pictures.
You can't really see anything!

Cheers to a good night!
It was definitely all about Aaron!

I love this man so much. Even when the margarita works him over! :)

Unique ways to make your wedding day stand out

Total Days of Engagement= 252
... day 137

As of right now, we are dead in the middle of planning. Things are still going smooth. However, maybe feeling a little... I wouldn't call it stress, maybe intention? I don't know. Mine & Aaron's wedding day is right around the corner. We have accomplished so much, yet still have ways to go.
I will say that my wedding day is completely planned out. Everything is bought & purchased, [minus the itty bitty last minute stuff that must wait]. I've always been the type that knows what I want & how I want it. I owe my Mom my life. Thanks to her, we are able to be ahead of schedule with everything that needs to be done.
Our goal is to have everything [w/ reason] completely and ready to go, by August. Can we do it? Suuuuure!

I've never been the [hmmm, well... I don't know] or [Let me rest on it] kinda person. I'm quick to make decisions. I think it falls under the hyperactive part of me. Our check lists are made, therefore we know what needs to be done. Being our wedding is 75% handmade [DIY], we must get on the ball. My parents upstairs family room & our spare room is vomiting wedding all over the place. It's absurd.

My wedding experience has been the dream of mine since I was four years old [Thanks to "The Little Mermaid]. For years now I have been researching weddings, cutting out articles & clippings of ideas I loved. I had my own little notebook of wedding etiquette & pictures. I even had my bridal party picked out [which has changed] and where they would stand. Crazy, huh? The little things matter to me. They always have & always will. On the day of September 3, 2011 there will be all sorts of things symbolizing Mine & Aaron's relationship. Most people will not know what it is, but when I sit down with my little girl many years for now having that conversation that all little girls love, How Daddy & Mommy met & fell in love, I want my wedding album to tell a story.
For the past weeks, I've been spending my weekends, [really enjoying down time] at home working on the this & thats, that are on my must have list. With a little painting, cutting, gluing, even designing, the project list goes on and on. Aaron thinks I'm nuttos, however he has his input and ends up loving the finish products. In June, My Mom is hosting a Bridal Bash at her house where all my maids will gather together for a brunch like day, working on different ceremony & reception projects. I am crazy excited, very much looking forward to this day. The ladies are pretty stoked about it as well. They've heard about the different ideas and thoughts I've had since we went wedding dress shopping together [back in February], however they haven't really seen much.

So for now, that's it. As much as I'd LOVE to share each project step by step. I'll have to wait until we are married and the party is over. Sad. I had all intentions in sharing. I didn't really care who saw what, because I feel on that day you will get a whole lot more out of it. Buuutttt.... It's better off this way. You'll just have to hear my words & thoughts. [B.O.R.I.N.G]

With that being said, you should know that you can do SOOO much in order to make your day so meaningful, original, & memorable.
Here's just a few. Take a look:

Guest Book Ideas:

Would be cute, if the Mr & Mrs met at a carnival
