Tacky Christmas Menu

Saturday is the big day!
I have a lot going on, so I'm trying to get extra prepared!
I couldn't be more excited about hosting this year's Christmas party for our friends!
Instead of Tacky Christmas Sweaters, I changed it to Tacky Christmas...
Maybe the the outfits will get really creative this year. I hope so.
Aaron's outfit is just... hilarious! I don't think he knows what he got himself into. ;)
We sent out 15 invitations, which means 30 people.
24 of them have responded with, Attending.
I debated whether or not to cook a full meal, or just have au d'oeuvres...
I decided on au d'oeuvres only because the price goes up for a full meal. People will eat more if they see big food. Or that's my experience. After talking with my Mother, the host of ALL host, we came up with some good stuff. There isn't much I can not do without her. She's just amazing.
Some of the dished on the menu are my usuals. You can't go wrong with them.

The Menu

Bacon Wraps
Veggia Pizza
Hot Bread & Cheese
Meatballs & Gravy
Cheesy Hamburger Dip w/ Chips
Crab Dip w/ Crackers
BBQ Weenies
120 Chic-fil-a Nuggets

Desserts

Tye dyed Oreo balls
Homemade Chocolate covered Pretzels
Cupcakes
Mama's Cranberry Bread w/ Cream Cheese
Christmas Candies

I've been preparing all the desserts this week. So, all except the cupcakes are ready to be served. I'm making them tonight. :)

Drinks

Spiked Red Punch - I was going to call it Christmas Morning, but if anyone has anything fun and creative, please share with me. It's not set in stone.
Wine
Coffee
Sweet Tea
Diet or regular Coke

I am pretty prepared for the party. Only a few more things to pick up from the grocery store. Besides cleaning my house... My house is ready. Did that make sense?

Last year, we played the dirty Santa game, where you bring a $20 per couple. I'm doing the same thing this year. However, I kinda wanna spice the night up a little more.
I do not want our guests to have to bring anything else, but do you have an idea of what we go do to have fun? If not, I know it'll be okay. Just an option.

The only thing I ask is that you get Chick-Fil-A sauce for those nuggets. It would be a travesty without it. You can also bat your eyes and get extra of all the other sauces too so that people can pick one (or a couple) for their plate and have easy cleanup!

As for the spiked punch, you can call it Holiday Hangover...a double entendre for the hangover of food, parties, and cheer as well as the alcohol in the drink...

You'll have to post pics and recipes for some of these delights! I'm intrigued be some of their names!

I have been lurking for awhile... and when food was mentioned, I had to come out of hiding. :)

Sounds great... and I need to be on invite list next time. :)
