A Guilty Conscience -

Smart and Trendy Moms

It's the Weekend and We have NO PLANS except Mr. Wonderful is taking me on a HOT DATE tonight! Oh, he's so good to me!!!!

- So, I try to pertain the duties of a housewife. Not because I feel like it or Aaron expects me too. No way! Only because I want too & ready that's how I am. I'm a care taker. Everyday I cook, I clean, I do Laundry, I make sure his uniforms are ready set... blah blah blah. We eat together, go to bed together, and make sure there is "US" time. One thing I don't do... and I really am going to try and start, is getting up with him in to morning. I get up 30 minutes after he leaves for work and he doesn't mind it. But the other day, jokingly I heard him say to someone, Yeah, It sucks leaving Jessica in the morning while she in the bed. I did think to myself, awe.. but nothing else really. I leave his medicine on the counter with an empty glass & his clothes are laid out ready to be put on and then if he wants breakfast, there is pop tarts, toasterstuils, bagels, or English muffins. Is that bad??? I feel bad.
I think 30 minutes is nothing. I think I'm going to REALLY try to get up with him. Today, he has off. So it was my turn to leave him. I HATED IT more than anything. I couldn't do it. I kept coming back and sitting on the bed talking to him. Who the heck wants to be talked to when they are sleeping? I HATED it so much & had a hard time. He communicated back, but when I was leaving he says I get to be Jessica now... "I love you baby, have a good day!" - UGH! pooh on you! So, do you get up with your hubby or better half?
I'm struggling with this, and think it's time to get up and make breakfast. He's a hard working man, in the HOT heat all day. He supports me, he supports us.  Truly, I'm spoiled and get anything thing I want. [With Reason] He is amazing and deserves company. Right? What do you think? What is it like for you at home? Help me, I feel guilty! What do you do? How does it work?

Awe, you guys are so cute.

I do feel bad when I'm in bed while my hubby is running around getting ready for work. But there really is no need for me to get up at 7:30am- I make a point to talk with him, make sure he's got everything he needs, and i make sure i always say goodbye (before i fall back asleep) and give him a smooch!

Nothing wrong with what your doing, and as life progresses and things, jobs, marriage, life, babies, change your style you'll find what suits you both!

Danny and I work different schedules completely and I have to be honest - he can cook his own breakfast. LOL

I love doing things for my man and I am very very spoiled by him. But I refuse to do every little thing for him - because I have WAY too many other things to be doing and I have two kids to take care of. I don't need a third! LOL

stopping by from Friday follow! I struggle with this, but my husband is a fireman with a weird schedule. He is the fire marshall and works four tens, which also means he starts his day at 5 am. I am not a morning person. I still get up at 6 to get all of the six big kids to school, but I just don't think I can get up an hour earlier. I'm not that nice of a wife.

The Hubs and I get up and leave together. But we work the same hours and our buildings are only a couple blocks from each other. So we drive together too. It helps save on money. But back when we were different shifts and even on weekends, I don't get up with him. I like my sleep to much to do that. And he still gets a half hour more sleep in the morning while he is waiting for me to get out of the shower.

Stopping by from Follow me Chick-a-dee.

My husband is an early riser-all those days on the farm.
I tend to get up with him more during the school year when I have to get up. Other wise I don't.
I think you guys are doing great.

Thank you so much for the blog comment and also thank you for your kind words. I'm following you back and absolutely love your blog. You're not the only one in stilettos and a fishing pole :) Great choice of blog header/title. Love it!

I don't get up with Mike most of the time. I 'usually' wake up literally 5 minutes after he walks out the door. When I do wake up early we sit and talk and then he forgets key things...like deodorant. LOL

Our system seems to work for us: He gets up, gets showered, get mostly ready for work then lays down and holds me for a while as I doze in and out. I LOVE that.

Anyway, you'll totally find what works for you. We've gone round and round, sometimes I'm up early, sometimes he's up early. Just depends on the day, month, year...
